A little bird named Amelia
When my girlfriend was diagnosed with colon cancer, the days got heavy. Then one day we walked into an exotic pet store and met a kakariki — a small, bright green bird with a scarlet crown, a flash of blue at the front of her wings, and red underneath them.
She fell in love instantly. So we brought Amelia home — and Amelia brought the joy back with her.
Kakariki ($KAKA) exists to carry that feeling further. Because joy matters most for the people who are struggling — and sometimes it arrives on small green wings.
